Terms and Conditions for Clients of Wye Valley Vets

1. Registration and Client Information

- All clients must complete a registration form prior to their pet’s first consultation.

- Clients must provide accurate and up-to-date contact details, including emergency contact information.

- It is the client’s responsibility to update the practice of any changes in contact details or pet information.


2. Appointments and Cancellations

- Appointments should be booked in advance via phone, email, or our online system.

- Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

- Failure to attend an appointment without prior notice may result in a cancellation fee.


3. Payment Terms

- Payment for all services is due at the time of treatment or consultation.

- We accept payment by cash, card, or other specified methods.

- In the case of emergencies, payment arrangements may be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

- Outstanding balances must be settled promptly; failure to do so may result in restricted access to further services.


4. Treatment and Consent

- We will provide treatment based on your consent. All major procedures will be explained and require your approval beforehand.

- In emergencies where immediate treatment is necessary to save life or prevent suffering, treatment may proceed without prior consent.

- We strive to provide high standards of care but cannot guarantee outcomes.


5. Data Protection and GDPR

- Your personal data and your pet’s information are handled in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

- We collect and store your data solely for the purpose of providing veterinary services.

- Your information will not be shared with third parties without your explicit consent, except where required by law.

- You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.


6. Respectful Behaviour

- We expect all clients to treat our staff with respect and courtesy at all times.

- Threatening ,aggressive, abusive, or discriminatory behaviour towards staff or other clients will not be tolerated and may result in termination of service.

- We reserve the right to refuse or withdraw services to any client who behaves in an unacceptable manner.


7. Complaints and Feedback

- We welcome your feedback and aim to address any concerns promptly.

- Complaints should be raised directly with the practice manager in writing or by email.

- We will investigate and respond to complaints in a timely manner.


8. Liability

- While we take every care in looking after your pet, we cannot accept liability for unforeseen complications beyond our control.

- It is the client’s responsibility to follow post-treatment care instructions to ensure the best outcome for their pet.


9. Changes to Terms and Conditions

- These terms may be updated periodically. Clients will be notified of significant changes via email or at their next visit.- Continued use of our services after such notifications constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
